Droplet research

Dolomite's range of Micro Droplet Systems enable rapid advances in droplet microfluidics allowing users to produce highly monodispersed droplets from 5µm to 250µm in diameter. The following video shows examples of droplet formation using the Micro Droplet Systems.

Based on Dolomite's standard product range, each system provides a complete solution containing all necessary pumps, connectors and chips to start generating droplets immediately.

Micro Droplets

Dolomite's Small Droplet Chips facilitate the generation of highly monodispersed micro droplets from 5μm to 30μm in diameter and therefore are ideal for producing and analysing micro emulsions. The innovative microfluidic devices are currently the smallest commercial droplet-making chips available.

Piezoelectric Pumps

Extremely small in size, the lightweight Piezoelectric Pumps are ideal for easy integration into experimental set-ups and can be used in portable microfluidic devices.

Their unique technology uses the piezoelectric effect which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy for the actuation of a diaphragm, resulting in fluid movement through the diaphragm chamber.
